What is the BioMark's Doctor Platform eOrder?

eOrder is BioMark's latest feature, released as part of our initiative to improve your user experience and provide added value to your clinic.

Using eOrder, you can order lab tests directly from BioMark's Doctor Platform. Your orders are sent directly to the laboratory system, bypassing manual data entry processes.

Select a patient.

  1. Click Orders at the top right of the page. If you cannot see Orders, go to the Settings page > Account Permissions and check the box for Orders under the Module Permissions column.
  1. Search for the patient's name for whom you want to order lab tests, or select Add Patient if no record is available yet for the patient. Once selected, double-check the patient's details before clicking Continue.

🗒️
Patients' records from Innoquest Pathology are available on the BioMark Doctor Platform, ranging from the most recent to as far back as 2002.

Select your desired test profiles and panels.

  1. Choose your billing details and the ordering doctor, whose name will be displayed in the final lab results.
  1. Next, you can search for the test profiles and panels you want to order. You can search using the codes displayed in Innoquest Pathology's catalog or by using the test names themselves. Don't forget to leave the clinical indication, if any.

Samples collection.

  1. After selecting a patient and ordering test panels, you will be brought to the sample collection page, where the required samples for the test will be listed. You must collect the samples and tick the corresponding boxes to mark them as collected.
💡
Click “Schedule for Later” if you are collecting the samples at other time.

Confirm orders and generate an eOrder barcode.

  1. After collecting the samples, review the order summary details to ensure that everything is correct. Once you confirm the details, an eOrder barcode will be generated, and the order details will be sent to the lab system.
  1. You can view your order record in the Order History tab. The status of your order will be updated according to progress updates. This tab replaces the usual physical request form's carbon copy and allows you to track the status of your ordered tests.
